Personal Responsibility

If there is one idea to benefit the world more than any other – if taken to heart by every person – I believe it is this:  You and only you are wholly and completely responsible for everything you create between your own ears.  This includes your emotional reactions to external influences, as well as the information you allow to guide your choices.

Other people don’t make you angry – you allow yourself to become angry.  You choose what information to accept as so, and the quality of results your choices produce reflect this.

There is a saying in the Information Technology world about the quality of data in relation to the quality of decision it produces: garbage in, garbage out.  High quality is whole and complete.  Details matter.

Personal responsibility begins between your own ears.
